EV Choir attended the NVC Choral Clinic on Monday, November 7. Forty one Elkhorn Valley students attended with about 180 students overall. Ainsworth Music Teacher Kayla Nilsen was the clinician.


3rd Annual Neitzke-Metschke Memorial Battle of the Pep Bands a huge success with lots of music fun by all. Chambers, Elkhorn Valley, Neligh-Oakdale, Niobrara, Pender, and Plainview battled four rounds of great pep band music! Thanks to everyone who came out to support!!


The One Act cast had a successful performance at our Home Show last evening!


Miss Eggers 1st Grade class worked in groups on their science engineering challenge! They were to create a protective covering to solve the problem of the scientists legs getting scratched by a prickly plant in a pond habitat. Next week we will test them!

Elementary students celebrated our first hallwalk of the year. Congratulations Avery, Ryker, Charlie and Kynslee on becoming Independent Readers!



Students who brought a decorated pumpkin for the Book Character Pumpkin Parade can take their pumpkin home on Wednesday, November 2. If a student will need help getting their pumpkin home, parents are asked to come to the school to pick it up from the library.

October 31st- November 4th Activities


51st Annual JH Choral Clinic held at EV. Joel Johnston from Midland University was the clinician. Sixteen schools with 350 students attended. EV JH Show Choir performed a Disney Medley.



Kindergarten practicing cooperation, asking permission and being respectful and patient with others while completing their rainbow having to share 7 crayons in each group.

Team sports pictures will be taken after school on Monday, October 31st. This will include all fall and winter sports. The schedule for taking pictures is: Golf 4-4:20, Cross Country 4:20-4:40, VB 4:40-5:00, Boys BB 5-5:20, Girls BB 5:20-5:40, 5:40-6 Wrestling.

Business students competed at the Wayne State College Business Competition Day! Aiden came away with 2nd in Business Communication!





Family Physical Therapy will be performing free injury prevention screenings Tues., Nov. 1st for students in grades 7-12.
JH will be participating during 8th period PE. 9-12 will be tested after school in the new gym.
Students are not required to participate.
