
Elkhorn Valley hosted the NVC Instrumental Clinic on Monday, March 20 with seven schools and 140 students. Clinicians were Kevin Koopmann of Lincoln and Nathan LeFaber of Kearney. Great music was made by some great musicians!!



Congrats to JH and HS Class C All State Band participants! They represented EV well at the Honor Band on Saturday, March 18!

Congratulations to the students that were selected to take tests tomorrow at NECC's Scholastic Day! The bus leaves for Norfolk at 7:45 and test sessions are at 8:30, 9:45, and 11:00. Awards will start around 1:45.

The Jrs will take the State ACT test on Tuesday, March 21. Juniors need to be in the '87 gym by 7:45 and we will begin testing immediately at 8. If a student is late they will not be admitted to the testing room and will have to make it up. They will be dismissed after testing.

Anneka is all checked in, and ready for her 7:30 draw. She will speak at 8:30.


Due to the weather forecast and timing of the snow storm, Elkhorn Valley Schools will be closed today, March 16.

Yesterday was a long day with some very tough competition at AAU State in Kearney (National Team Qualifier). With 8 guys competing we all wrestled well and everyone came away with at least one victory!
Congrats to Mason Nitz for placing 3rd and qualifying himself for Disney Duals down in Florida and also a Nebraska Dual Team.
Congrats to Mavrick Hagemann for placing 3rd and qualifying as an alternate for the Disney Duals Team and also a member of a Nebraska Dual Team.
Job well done to everyone who competed. The experience will pay off!

Biology students were recently taught gram staining techniques and its importance in helping ID bacteria. Colonies were created from swabbing their phones.

The Speech Team's HOME SHOW will be held tonight, March 6, beginning at 6:00. A couple of high school classrooms will be used for this event. Be sure to come out tonight to listen to some very talented kids as they entertain you.
