Elementary Color Run Information!!
--Date: Saturday, September 7, 2024
--Check-in: Preschool-2nd grade will check in at 8:30 a.m. and 3rd-6th grade at 8:40 a.m. --Please enter the school through the main entrance!
--No parking on the North side of the school!
--COST: $3 per Student and $5 per Adult
--Please pay the morning of the race, do NOT send money to school.
**Run start time: 9:00 a.m. for upper elementary (3rd-6th grade) with lower elementary (Preschool- 2nd grade) to follow. If you have students in each section, please choose which section you would like to go with.
Just a reminder that school picture day is Thursday, August 29, which is just a few days away!! Families who need a duplicate set of picture proofs (for parents living separately ONLY) MUST return a slip requesting this. Slips can be picked up from the office.

Elkhorn Valley Marching Band marched at the Nebraska State Fair on Saturday. Despite the heat, the 42 marchers did a superb job! Thanks for everyone who came to support the band. Go Band!!
Junior high football is in full swing. The water tastes great today!
The students and staff at EVS were treated to a SURPRISE of corn on the cob at lunch today! Thanks to Nancy and Bobby Rich for planting, picking and shucking this delicious Nebraska staple. Everyone really enjoyed this sweet treat today!!

The Elkhorn Valley volleyball and football teams will be holding their annual “Sports Drink Scrimmages” this Friday night at 5:15 and 6:30. Admission to enter each event is a sports drinks. Hope to see large crowds to kick off the fall sports season! Go Big Green!
CALENDAR CORRECTION!! The Preschool Parent Meeting originally scheduled for Monday, 8/26 has been moved to Tuesday, 8/27. The meeting will begin at 7:00 pm in the Library.
Congratulations to Erica Brown. Erica was selected to receive her American FFA Degree. This is the highest honor that can be bestowed in the National FFA Organization. We are all so proud of you Erica.
Message to 7-12 Grade Parents: IPad check out will begin on Monday. All Ecollect forms must be completed in order to check out an iPad. Also the $25 iPad fee must be paid if students want to take their iPad home.
A gorgeous evening for a BBQ and some dancing! The Elementary, JH, and HS Dance Teams provided fun and entertainment for Meadow Grove Firemen's BBQ. Great job on all your hard work!
Elementary Dance Camp 2024 was a blast. Elementary students learned a routine, broke into stations for activities and dance techniques, as well as played games. Be ready to watch these future dancers perform this school year!
Football equipment for the Junior High will be handed out August 8 (Thursday) at 3:30. Athletes should meet in the lunchroom, entering through the east doors. Anyone who cannot attend should contact Coach Meyer.

PrK-12 grade parents are asked to have the E-collect forms for their child/ren completed by August 8. Just a reminder that the PowerSchool parent portal is located on the EVS homepage. Do not hesitate to contact the school if you need assistance. The $25 iPad fee for students in grades 7-12 will need to be paid BEFORE students can check out their iPad. 3rd-6th grade parents are asked to download the PowerSchool app so that you have constant and immediate updates on your child's academic progress.
On Wednesday, July 31, the EVS Weight Room will be closed from 7:00 am until 2:30 pm for cleaning!

Donate Today, Save Lives Tomorrow!! Some of the EV coaches were busy this morning at the Nebraska Coaches Association Sports Clinic in Lincoln. They donated blood at the Nebraska Community Blood Bank!
