The West Holt Medical Services Foundation will be having a free-will donation soup supper during the NVC Basketball Championships in Atkinson on February 5th. Funds will benefit the WHMS Foundation Scholarship fund, which is being used to start an endowed scholarship at Northeast to benefit local students going into healthcare.

The Century Club's Share the Love Penny War starts on Monday, February 7, and runs through February 11!! Each classroom will have a container to collect money. The grade level that raises the most money will be the class to decide where the money is donated.

Six EV students represented the Century Club group at the Youth Philanthropy contest in Norfolk on Saturday morning. The Century Club's project "Books and Babies" was one of the finalists and received $1,000 in funding from the Youth Philanthropy Council. Our project will involve purchasing board books and creating bookmarks with ten reasons to read aloud to babies. These items will be placed in a gift bag and distributed to families of newborns at Faith Regional in Norfolk. We will be meeting with our community partners later this month who will help us get started on our project.
