Tonight’s High School Honors Night will begin at 7:00 and will be held in the 1987 Gym.
1. The Niobrara Valley Conference Track Meet was held in Atkinson Saturday. As a team, the girls finished in 5th place which was better than projected on paper. The boys also outperformed as a team as they captured their second ever NVC Track and Field Championship. Technically they were “co-champions” as they tied Atkinson West Holt in points, 119-119. Individual NVC champions were Carney Black in the 300 meter Hurdles, Zack Hartl, also in the 300 meter Hurdles, and Carter Werner in the 110 meter hurdles. Congratulations to you all.
Results from the NVC Junior High track meet on Saturday: Congratulations to the JH Boys and Girls teams as they both finished in 2nd place at the NVC Conference track meet. Those bringing home 1st place medals were: Boys - 4x800m Relay: Isaac Eckert, BJ Taake, Easton Rystrom, Isaiah Eckert; 1600m Run: Isaiah Eckert; Discus: Wyatt Nierodzik; Pole Vault: Isaac Eckert and for the Girls: HJ: Karlee Broberg. There were many new PRs set as well a few new JH School Records were made or improved upon. Great Job! The JH Track athletes will meet today during 8th period.
2. Any student in grades 7-11 interested in running for Student Council for next year should sign up in Mr. Wickizer's room by the end of the day on Thursday.
3. Anyone interested in becoming a lifeguard or a returning lifeguard planning on working this summer at the pool should talk with Mrs. Staub at your earliest convenience.
4. Tomorrow is the seniors LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!! Their check out sheet is being passed out today by Mrs. Novicki. Any senior who doesn’t get one from her, please stop by the office but please do not leave class to do so. Wait for a break in your day. Thanks!!
5. The 2nd graders are on a field trip to the Ponca State Park today. Have fun!!
