Risk Dial Update

The ELVPHD Risk Dial for Madison County for the week ended 2/7/2021 is in the YELLOW at 1.89, down .15 from last week. The local Meadow Grove risk dial is YELLOW  at 1.14, down 1.15  and the Tilden risk dial is ORANGE at 2.14, down .29.  This week, the overall numbers at school decreased, with only 0.4% of students and/or staff being quarantined.  These numbers are great to see and continue to be encouraging.  We  will continue to follow the NSAA guidance for winter activities and recommendations from our health department.  Incidentally, the NSAA has increased the capacity at activities to 75%.  For the time being, we will continue with wearing masks while at school, school activities and riding the school bus.  Additionally, we will continue to emphasize social distancing, frequent hand washing and sanitizing.    As we navigate this pandemic, we are ever hopeful we will reach our goal of staying in school and continuing with face to face learning.  Once the winter activities season ends and activities move outside with the warmer weather, we will evaluate the possibility of modifying the mask mandate.  As always, things are subject to change very quickly.  As the circumstances change, so will the protocols at school.
