Elkhorn Valley Schools

Circumstances have changed regarding the increased number of COVID cases in the Meadow Grove and Tilden area.  A discussion of the increased numbers with the Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department has led to a change in protocol for Elkhorn Valley Schools.  Starting on Monday, November 16, 2020, all students, staff, and visitors will be required to wear a mask while in the building and in the presence of another person.  A schedule will be developed to allow students to have mask breaks.  Students will also have the opportunity to remove masks when eating breakfast/lunch, at recess, or during Physical Education classes.  Parents that have legitimate verified health concerns for their students may request to convene a 504 meeting to develop a plan, which may include an increased number of mask breaks or wearing a face shield.  Parents will be required to provide face masks for their students as the supply of cloth face masks the district has been giving to students has been depleted.  The goal of the new protocol is to keep us in school for as long as it is safe to do so. The mask mandate, as well as other protocols, will be revisited as circumstances warrant.
