1. Here are the FANTASTIC results from the District Cross Country meet held yesterday in Ainsworth:
In the Girls race - Mazzy Kuchar was District runner up and Teegen Hasebrook placed 11th to qualify individually for state. Katie Warneke placed 18th. The girls team was the runner-up and they are headed to state.
In the Boys race - Isaac Eckert placed 11th and Evan Decker placed 12th to qualify individually for the state meet. Abe Johnsen placed 17th. The Boys team placed 3rd and are headed to state.
This is the first time ever both teams qualified for state at the same time!!!
State XC t-shirt order forms can be found on the school’s website but there are also some forms available in the office. Forms and payment are due to Janice by 11:00 this morning!!!
2. Congratulations to the following EVS Cross Country athletes as they have been selected to receive GNAC honors: All Conference - Girls Team: Mazzy Kuchar and Teegen Hasebrock; All Conference - Boys Team: Evan Decker; Honorable Mention - Boys Team: Isaac Eckert, Abe Johnsen and Landon Rutjens.
3. Just a reminder that it’s Parents Night for the football team and BMWs tonight!!
4. The first round of the GNAC volleyball tournament begins on Monday, October 21, with the #2 Lady Falcons playing the #7 Lutheran High Northeast team. The game will be played at EVS and the start time is 5:30. GO BIG GREEN!!
5. The 3rd and 4th graders are going on a field trip to Ashfalls State Park today! What a great experience.
