John Douglas as Class D All State Scholarship Recipient

At the Class D All State Honor Band, held on Saturday, March 24, John Douglas auditioned for the Music Scholarship. This scholarship is given to a senior who meets the following requirements the best out of all candidates: must participate in a college music program, have been a participant of the Class D All State Band for two years, received at least one Superior Rating on a solo at District Music Contest, perform in front of a committee a solo, chromatic scale and two major scales, write an essay AND take a theory test. There were three students who met the strict requirements and auditioned for the scholarship. John Douglas was chosen as the 2012 recipient of the Class D All State Honor Band scholarship. |
